Gravity feed is indeed possible. Put the line into the tranny, invert the oil bottle and squeeze.

I found the MTL to have similar characterisitics as the Honda MTF.

For my next change, I am planning on trying the Cadillac fluid that Gernby liked. However I can't find the thread where he posted the info.
Does anyone have it handy?

RR;

Do you think the reason that RL MTL reduces notchiness is that it has less lubricity than the Honda MTL and that makes the syncros 'catch' better?

Would this lead to increased syncro wear?

Thanks

Advance Autoparts stores sell Redline products now. I heard on the intercom system advertising the motor oil when I was in the store on Friday picking up a case of Mobil1. The salesperson said the Redline 10W30 was going for $8 a quart. On the Advance Autoparts web site they sell MT-90 transmission fluid as well at the stores. I did not see the MTL listed though.

I have MTL-90 in the car now and honestly can't tell the difference on the street. I've not done enough track driving on either the Honda or RL fluid to see a difference there either.

I plan on switching to LE703 soon just for grins. I don't expect a difference but we'll see.

My car ('00, 111k mi) has always been a little notchy for the 1-2 shift but not a real grind issue. Then again I'm pretty easy on the hardware.

Is the 703 RR approved?

I know it's "un-approved" for MY04 because of the CF parts in that transmission. Other than that I know nothing.
