To much fuel pressure?

Default To much fuel pressure?

i just put in a new fuel pump and now getting 80psi at idle, is that to much? dead pressure regulator?

On a stock car, yes that is too much.
Try replace the FPR, unless you used some aftermarket high flow pump then that could be the cause as well.

Weird. Ive run typical size aftermarket pumps such as the AEM320 and FB340 and pressure goes up to about 55psi at idke if if recal with Stock fpr. But 80psi is a shit ton. What pump you running? Could likely be an obstruction somewhere in return line or fpr.

its a DeatschWerks dw200, says it flows 255 liters per hour. i was getting just over 40 with the stock pump and would increase by about 10psi when i pull the vacuum line to the FPR. I reset the ecu and did a idle relearn, didn't think it would help but did it anyway. right now its about 75psi at idle and jumps to a little over 80 when i pull the vacuum line. i haven't driven it yet, just start and idle.. if that would make a difference

Are you using the same pressure gauge as when you used the stock pump?
