Muffler Change
Hi guys.I previous owned a HKS dual for the S but felt that it was droning and it was getting to me so I got rid of it and plus needed teh cash at the time. The exhaust note wa really nice but in the morning it was abit too much even considering the HKS is pretty quiet compared to others. Now I'm itching for another exhaust but don't want the issue of the loud sound or the droning so I'm think of just welding two after market muffler to the OEM pipe. Would this still drone and will it be that loud considering I'm still keeping the factory pipe? I'm not looking for any power gain but to have a nice look and quiet sporty sound. Has anyone done this? Whats the pros and cons. Anything would be appreciated.Cheers
Check out this link.... I have NO droning and the Magnaflow's (installed) is $300.

Thank tron1. I was thinking of installing the magnaflow but don't know how loud it'll be. Is it much louder than stock? I just want something that isn't loud but have nice deep tone to it. And where can I get the tip like the Spugen dual oval tip? Would Duc sell it and ship it directly? Cheers
Thanks, xviper.
I love the way my exhaust sounds. Just check out Magnaflow's site and pick a style you like.
Be sure that you keep the appendix looking "L" shaped pipe on the stock piping (more properly known as the Heimholz sp? pipe)
No "booming" from 3-4K like so many aftermarket systems.
There is an oval tip muffler that should be perfect for your needs.
I used the 14822s - but would have preferred the dual ovals - I just didn't know any better at the time.
Totally satisfied with the sound. Performance-wise - honestly can't tell a difference - but the stock system is pretty efficient to begin with.
The only exhaust i really would like is the dual Amuse - but I don't wanna pay $2,000 for an exhaust...
