Default Mugen Exhaust / CAT replacement?

I have a Mugen exhaust and headers and have now bought a CAT replacement part that I am told was specially made for an S2000.
It is not fitted yet, as before I do I would like to know the "Do's & Dont's" about possibly doing this, and any other possible information.

As you can see in the picture it's made of stainless steel and weigh's in at 6lbs.

No its not from Mugen, the pipe is straight through and what looks like a silencer is what I would say is some sort of "heat diffuser??!!" it would seem, but I dont know.

Well if you do this, you will get check engine light in couple of days eventually.
Your car will start to run like crap but if you hold it long enough it will stabilize and run normal, however you will still have the check engine light on.
You will also get very shitty gas mileage from doing this.

I am not theorizing, this is what will happen because I have done it in the past.
To have this work normal, you need aftermarket ECU like Mugen.

Again I have done it in the past with Mugen ECU.
I felt little bit on my butt-o-meter but the gain is just too little to justify for doing it.
Not to mention you will be spending quite a bit on gassing it up.

My advice, don't waste money or time on it, unless you are in competitions and you need every little bit of help.
