Mugen kits
I've been told that adding Mugen kits does not affect the factory warranty- anyone know if this is true? Looking to trick out my '00 Silverstone. Also- anyone using the front grill attachment at hondas2000accessories.com notice a huge heat difference? It's already hot as @#$% in Florida- don't want to damage. Thanks.
What Mugen kit are you referring to? Generally, and I do mean generally, bolt on modifications are not going to adversely effect the warranty, the obvious exception would be the Comptech s/c. But since you asked about Mugen, be specific about what you are interested in and I'll offer my opinion on the warranty...
The truth is, the dealer has to prove that it's your mod that cause any problems that you might have before voiding warranty... so it's not just mugen.
I've had no issues getting warranty work done on my Maxima with mods.

Our motor is very difficult to extract more power out of. At 120 hp/liter, you are going to have to spend $$ to get much power.
Please see www.kingmotorsports.com to see the dyno plots of the Mugen header/exhaust combo.
Mugen products are the best choice for our car, IMHO. The are pricey, but well worth it.

Bullitt - If cooling is your concern, and it is a good one, step one is to get the cooler running thermostat and thermo-switch which will kick your fans on at lower temp, and a 1.3 pressure withstanding radiator cap - These are cheap and a must in South Florida (approximately $160 & an antifreeze bath when installing the thermostat)
When raplacing your coolant, use one 16 oz Royal Purple's "Purple Ice" (made for aluminum motors) with a 30% coolant 70% distilled water blend (others prefer Redline's water wetter). This is also inexpensive and will aid in cooling.
After that there are many directions to go with your car by personal choice, but I believe step one should be to protect what Honda gave you in the first place.
