My 3rd diff failed today :-(

Slows2k, I could never really tell if the bearings were messed up because they had too much metal shrapnell stuck in them. But, I'm relatively sure the cause of the failure was my improper setup from the last build. I had a friend help me that time and he claimed to know more than he actually did - led me to do a few things wrong. Anyway, the new diff should have no problems.
MacGyver, thanks! I got most of them from a guy in San Diego. Try pumilio.com.

Rev, I think your preload on the pinion bearings was off causing your failure. I'm not good enough to pick out any differences between the 04 and earlier housing. It sounds like you have it back together right this time, Congradulations and Good Luck
