My ABS light came on this morning WHY?
I just got my car on monday and this morning when I left the house the ABS light came on and did not go off. When I returned I hooked my OBD2 scanner up to it and it did not show any codes. Why is it on and how can I get it to go away?

Your OBD2 scanner will not show codes, unless it has a specific program to do so.
You need to pull the code from the ABS system. If you jump terminal 4 and 9 of the OBD2 connector, it will flash engine codes, and I THINK it will also flash ABS codes at the same time via the ABS light.
Be 100% certain you are jumping the correct terminals, or serious ECU damage can occur.
4 to 9 is definitely safe.

The codes clear themselves when you fix the problem. The ABS system self tests when you turn the car on and while you drive. Sould an error condition exist, the code is stored and the ABS system fails in an off state. Th pins will let you get the code and armed with that information you can troubleshoot and fix the error.
The ODBII pins are marked on the connectors, in each corner they are written very small.
Bill you are right, it will flash the codes. That is how I fixed mine.
