Default Is my axle finished?

Finally got the rear passenger axle nut off with the impact gun. It got cross threaded when it was being removed without the gun. Can I still use the axle with the remamining threads?

I do autoX the car about 1-2 times a month and track once or twice a season.

thanks

How do you cross thread a nut removing it?

You might have to get a reshaping die and try and reshape the cross thread portion, I don't know that I would personally trust it as it sit now.

Why were you taking the nut off anyways?

since those look like ap1 wheels, i would assume he is trying to do the retorque to the 220 vs the 180 due to the ticking?

AP1, trying to retorque and this is what happened.

I'll try to fix some of the damaged looking threads with a die and see how it goes.

Any inputs guys?
