My Carbotech XP8 squealed. Then I bought the $20 pads from Autozone and swapped the shims. The shims were a perfect fit since most pad companies buy the back plate for the S2K from the same place. The pads do not squeal anymore, which is very unusual for an XP8 pad.

i got my 03 s2k w 65k on it. i had a week of screetching and bad brakes sound. i went on ebay purchased a full set of front and rear pads/cross drilled/slotted rotors and im now @ 107k same set of brakes and no noise and looks like no wear. go 2 88rotors.com and do some research. they were like 180 shipped in 2008 so they mite have went up but definitely way worth it!

If they squeal with light pressure, but shut up with heavy pressure, the previous owner probably thought he was doing a good thing and put in track pads. The problem is, track pads are worthless unless you heat them up, and for daily driving, they suck...and they squeal. Replace them with OEM pads, and your problems will go away.

Lubing like everyone here mention will help a great deal. Pain in the ass to take off just for lubing, but hey if you don't want to take them off and can with stand the noise then Ride'em till they die!

It seems like my brakes squeak only at night and after I haven't drove it in awhile. It squeaks on initial contact and heavy breaking. But once I get 2-3 heavy breaking in, the squeaks stop. Is that a sign for new pads?

My brakes squeak when they are cold, once they warm up they don't usually. I thought my brakes were going bad because they squeaked when I bought the car, but I checked them and there is a lot of pad left. If you checked your pads and you have pad left and they are clean then I wouldn't really worry about them. If people ask you why they are squeaking then just tell them because they are lambo race pads and they always make noise!
