Default My Drivers seat rocks back and forth.

Is there any way to adjust this? Does any one else have this problem?

My seat bolts are tight. I'm afraid that the problem is somewhere in the seat back hinge.

Does the seat back or the entire seat rock?

Check the bolts that attach the seat back to the base of the seat. You'll have to remove the seat to get them, but that may be where the rocking is coming from.

Are you talking about the back support obviously? My psg seat has annoying creakiness that is incredibly annoying and only way to get rid of it is to hold the back.

So we have to remove the seat to fix this play?

some people just put a towel behind to absorb the movement.

Behind what? Seat leather pocket in the back is still good 3 to 6 inches away from the back. That is a lot of towels...

When I go over uneven pavement my passenger seat squeaks/rattles as well. Super annoying, however that is another issue separate from the one my original post was regarding.

Im out of town at the moment, far from my S. When I get home next week I'll pull my seat and see what I discover.

Mine has done this from the beginning. 2004. When I adjust the seat, forward or back, sometimes the latch appears to not seat correctly at the new position. It's not the back adjustment, it's the seat itself. Sometimes I need to kind of "learch" my seat by hanging on to the steering and moving my seat forward or backward to latch the seat. Only takes one movement and it doesn't happen all the time, but most of the time...
