if it's the entire seat thats rocking it may be part #2. the nylon bushing gets worn out and allows the movement.
mine is currently doing this. my mom's accord has been doing this for over a year now.
and i had a few civics come in for this same complaint when i used to work at honda.

edit: it's part #2

Im sorry to say that the interior is too small for me to have a legitimate reason for the seat to rock. Lawl

Im really going to dig into this when I get home.

Jeggy, will all dealerships have part #1 in stock?

Are you crazy? No dealers stock anything for the S2000 beyond the oil filters. At that some don't even stock those.

hard to say. when i did them at the dealer it was on civics. i don't know if the bushings are interchangable across honda seats.
part # is right there in the link for you. wouldn't hurt to just call and ask. worse case is it'll take 3-4 days to arrive when ordered.
but make sure it's the bushing thats the culprit first.

i made a mistake, the nylon bushing is part #2. NOT part #1

My dealer told me that the oil filter is a normal honda filter.

Sorry, I'm new to the Honda world. Ive never had a honda before. I come from BMWs and their dealerships are pretty good about stocking obscure parts.

Your Dealer LIED!. There is a filter for the S2000 and honda filter for all others. The part number is PCX for the S2000 and PLM for all others. Honda dealer stock what they service/sell. Most don't service or sell many S2000 parts. Sure they can get them for you, but you will need to order them.

The time is takes to order varies from dealer to dealer. but my local dealer gets almost everything the next day.

Is a regular Honda filter (its blue... just like the one that came off the car) going to hurt the car? I change the oil every 3k miles.

Im using ELF 5w40 full synth.

They are both Blue. So the color is not the issue. The S2000 motor is a high reving, high oil pressure motor. As such it needs a differant filter. All oil filters have a by-pass valve that releases unfiltered oil past the filter when the pressure is above X level. The LMH filter is set to lower spec then the PCX filter.

Get the PXC filter with your next oil change.
