Default my dyno run

i just got off the dyno with 3 pulls. here are the results..

run 1... 206hp...143.7torque
run 2..205.9hp...143.3torque
run 3..204.8hp....143.0torque

these runs were in 4th gear up to redline... at 119 miles and hour.... it was about 82 degrees and humid... does these results seem typical of a s2k with invidia exhaust and aem cai? would the denso plugs make any type of noticable difference? i would like to squeeze more power out of my motor with out going F/I. any suggestions? thanks

Judging by the numbers you were on a Dynojet. Yeah, those look normal for a stock S2000. You got a couple ft/lbs of torque with the AEM CAI, and you probably started the run on a cold engine. Denso plugs are not going to improve the engine efficiency any, so why bother?

not true jerry

not one Stock S here in texas in the last year has made over 200.00 to the wheels and none of them made over 140 ftlbs.

One S with a tuned VAFC and AEM CAI made 208-212.

I have been to 3 dyno sessions in a year all of the on dynojet dynomoters.

I had DC Sports header, AEM CAI, and RM racing exhaust and my best dyno was 200.6 and 140.6 ftlbs of TQ, SAE corrected values on a dynojet.

Yes, those are very good, I would say way more than typical scale when comparing similar mods that other owners have tried and saw a lack of gain. I would have been happy to see those numbers if I were you.

denso's will help reduce performance loss and help reduce the effect of heat soak, which would turn into potential detonation, which leads to ECU pulling timing. The theory in running a colder plug is to counter a potential loss before it is a loss.

that is why I run 2 notches colder on my SC S here in TX.

My car feels like it is running on a cold air morning, but all of the time.

Go SC and get about $37 per HP to the wheels.

i'm planning on going sc this november.... i just wanted to get some more power out of my NA motor... i'll put the vafc on to tune it up some and the 4.44's sometime next month. and then run it again on the dyno before the sc goes on...
