Is my oil catch can installed correctly?
I had a Carbing catch can on my H22 Prelude and I was amazed at what it caught. There's for the most part, no performance gain from a set up like this. You'll just stop your valves from gunking up over time.
Check out some of the crazy crankcase breather setup's people are running on their H22/B18 ect. Crazy stuff.
Oh yeah, the catch can goes between the PCV and the IM. The breather off of the valve cover goes to the intake just like OEM.

i know this is kind of old but i just wanna add that a peterson catch can is filtered and baffled...i have this exact model...i could take pics if u guys wanna see the inside but just take my word for it, baffled and filtered 

Industrial strength...AN fittings? Gets expensive...
I ran my first track day with the billet depot catch can installed - worked well, getting 1/3 cup or so after a 20min session. About the same amount after relative tame 500 miles of street driving.

Did you run the tube exiting the catch can to the intake arm or the manifold?
Another note. On my AP1 - I had hard lines running from the rubber hose on the fitting to the intake arm. You'll want to get a rubber stopper (and clamp on a rubber clamp if you can) to seal off the metal tube leading to the intake.

actually I have not yet done any changes to the catch can. I've been busy with work and other things, and also, in my mind it is still not clear how it should be done correctly.
Maybe I will do it like ModMonkey said .. so in this case I should block off the pipe on the intake, right?

The pipe normally runs from the valve cover to the intake arm. More crankcase ventilation. But, you want to filter the oil from this air (which is headed to the cylinders) - so run it through the catch can.
