Default My poor engine :(

Hi my name is Bek, not sure if I have done too much posting on here in the past but thought I'd share my pain...

So basically, a CPU short caused one of my coils to stay on, which then resulted in the following issues

All clouds do have a silver lining though because now I'm getting oversized pistons put in to make my engine be better

Has anyone ever had this sort of thing happen to them??

Ouch ! That really sucks bad . However , i doubt that youre coil was shorted out . This looks like a sparkplug came loose and let combustion gasses into the sparkplug tube . I have seen this more times than i would like to admit with Honda engines .

One more reason to check/change plugs much earlier than recommended 105K miles!

I find a lot of bolts and parts work themselves loose with this engine as compared to other Hondas, not sure if there is something different about the S2k motor.

turns out .. it doesn't show up well in the pic, but turns out that the previous owner or someone had the head off previously and didn't get it machined before putting it back on

Always good to get it machined whenever its off, however remember its only a 100% possibility of a good seal if the block is machined too, or else you have a perfectly flat surface against a perhaps not so flat surface

is it necesary to have this done everytime the head is removed ? and it can only be done a few times.
