Default Is my rear diff broken

I was driving then I heard a loud crunch sound. i thought I blew a tire and was driving on a rim. Then I stop and check everything out. Get in my car again like I was going to drive but it wouldnt move foward. It would make a crunch noise. Then I tried to push it and it would move 1 Feet then get stuck like it has its e-brake up.

sounds like it's a definite possibility. at this point, I would not attempt to move the car. get it towed on a flatbed

I got it towed and it yanked the car on the bed. Its in front of my house right now. I'm so depressed so much bad stuff has happened with my car since I owned it.

Last week someone almost hit me so I hit the curb and my carbon fiber lip cracked

Someone punched my rear 1/4 pannel 2 months ago

My volk racing rims were bent when I was mad at my girl friend

I didnt break in my first clutch right so it blew

Now it has a nice clutch with over 6000 miles on it

Now this.....

My s2000 experience has been horrible.

Yeah but the rear diff I blame it on the car...

I havent launched the car in the past 2 weeks.

I've only launched the car 10-15 times since I owned it and only to race.

Does anyone know what my problem could be? The wheels on the rear wheel are locked.

launching the car can blow it. it doesnt have to be right when you launch either.

it only takes one incorrect launch to do damage. even riding the clutch or bogging the rpms once is enough to do damage. and it doesn't necessarily mean an immediate failure, so just cuz you haven't done it in 2 weeks means nothing.

by the way, if your rear wheels are locked and the car won't move, then you've blown your diff or LSD.

We can't see you car, the only thing we can do is give you probable failures.

Both wheels are locked? did you leave the e-brake on? I dunno, I can't check it.
Brake caliper locked up? I dunno.
Diff in many pieces? I dunno.

All are possibilities, untill you take a look, or take you car to a shop to be checked out, None of us will know what is broken.

Well brakes are good because when I was driving I wasnt breaking. I heard a loud bang or type of noise then 3 miles later my car brakes. So I am betting its my rear diff...

Guys im stupid when it comes to car

Should I buy a complete rear diff

or LSD?

I found an lsd for 300 bucks

but someone on this board has a complete rear diff assembly for 800 bucks
