Default my 'run at night' rear tail lights do Not work!

so the turn signals work perfect, the reverse lights and the brakes, only the two running lights that are on when driving at night do NOT work! Any ideas what the problem is? also, the car seems to think its daylight all the time as on the interior the inside lights are always there brightest, and you know that at night with your lights on they are just a tad bit dimmer. the headlights work fine. this whole problem occured after I installed an alpine cd player. I thought maybe a fuse, but checked a few and found no answer!

these people have had similar problems, do you think maybe just a switch of bulbs will do me fine?

I would suggest that coincidentally enough, BOTH of your tail running lights have burnt out at the same time. This happens. Try changing them.

Odd. Which fuse?
Since the same fuse for the tail running lights also controls a multitude of other things, you should have also had the following out:

- audio unit light, cruise control main switch light, front parking lights, gauge lights, hazard warning switch light, heater control panel lights, licence plate light, convertible top switch light, radio remote switch light, tail lights.
Oh, and the dead give-away would have been that your keyless door lock control unit would not have worked.

You didn't notice any of these other things not working?

it was the fuse DIRECTLY above the radio fuse labeled, 'SMALL LIGHT'

it blew because when i installed the radio, i didn't tape off the unused yellow 'dimming' wire and it shorted out; that was a little foolish i know!
