My Spoon Y-BRACE.
well, it's more like a y, than an x.

so here's the story, i was driving on the freeway coming home from an houstooks dinner. i was minding my own business, and then BAMM!...sparks are flying everywhere behind my car. i looked in my mirror, and i was like "dude, that's so badass...oh wait, that's coming from my car!!!" well, i knew it was coming from my car, but i'm sure the people behind me were watching a hell of a light show. at this time, i was trying to swerve as much as i could without losing control to get the rock out. the sparks stopped a couple seconds later, after the rock went completely under my car, and i took the next exit. everything looked fine, but i couldn't look under my car, 'cause i was on my cell phone calling wes, to tell him what had happend. of course, wes saw my name on his caller id, and figured i wasn't important enough to answer. i just figured it had hit my exhaust, so i didn't think as much of it as i should've. exactly a week later, on my one year anniversary with the S, i took my baby in for her 15,000 mile service. i got a call from Erik (he's the man!), my service dude at john eagle honda, a couple hours later, and he tells me that my x-brace is really messed up. when i heard this, my heart was broken. it was supposed to be a really happy day...you know, my anniversary! when i went over there, i was sweating, 'cause it was the ugliest spoon part i had ever seen in my life. so to end the story, it's now a y-brace, and it has no purpose, and it also kinda messed up my stock front brace (the one that the x-brace screws in to). oh yeah, but good news, i have all four screws that it came with, 'cause they didn't fall out.
THE END.
Mingster - is there any type of warranty on this!?!
oh yeah, i posted this in "under the hood", 'cause if you seriously think about it, the x-brace is held in under the hood.

Bummer, sorry to hear about your loss.
Unfortunately, the case with the Spoon X-brace is that it is very tall, which makes it susceptible to potholes/driveways. I've been recommending that customers have theirs checked during every oil change. The new Comptech x-brace is several mm shorter (I'll have to measure it one of these days) than the Spoon X-brace, so this may be the product to buy, especially for very low sitting S2000s.
Cheers,
