Its normal.

 

It points the wrong way when you put the lever in backwards.

 

Yeah, looks like it's the angle....easy to adjust that? I have an 8 hour drive to a new city, rather not mess with it if it's just the angle.



I decided to take a look at it again with picture. I'm guessing that was adjusted becuase it slides into third from neutral perfectly so linkage below must be alligned correctly. I can shift just fine into reverse too which on other honda boards people who had the shift backwards couldn't do.

 

The angle is not adjustable.
