Default MY04 Headlights have changed color.

I've seen this coming for a while and told myself that I was dreaming but over the last 700 miles or so I've noticed that the HID color has changed from that nice bluish color, to an everyday yellow that so many other cars have. I really notice it when I put the high beams on where I've installed those SilverStars. Where you really use to notice a color difference in the highbeam/lowbeam, now they both look the same.

I'm wondering if anyone else has notice the shift from when the car was new to now.

The car has about 6 thousand miles on it..

I have MY'00 and mine are still bluish like the day I got the car. Something's not right. Maybe bad ground, bad ballast, bad bulbs?

I was thinking maybe the bulbs have aged/colored/broken in...

I don't know. There's no way I'm the only one seeing this, if no one else responds to this thread it must be me going blind or goofy. Even the wife says the lights look different to her when I drive behind her on the way home at night.

And then the bigger question is.. How would one go to the dealership and complain about a pair of headlights that ARE WORKING, but merely not the color I'd like to see..

They'd laugh me out of the service garage. But when I see other S's running around town, I feel I'm getting the shitty end of the stick on this one.

No color change here, after 77k miles. Put yours next to new one, have them both shine their HIDs at the same wall.

try cleaning your headlights. Maybe the buildup of dirt on the headlight causes the yellowish reflection?

Worked on my friends integra .. we used Meguirs PlastiX or something like that. Good Luck

it sounds more like your eyes are just becoming accustomed to the color temperature and the lights that appear "bluish" at first seem more natural with some time.

(this is in response only to the reply directly above, the parent post doesn't seem to imply any sort of change over a short period of time like this)

i agree taht you mustve just accustomed to the lighting, HID bulbs dont get "yellower" after time they actually get "bluer" when they age. I have played with lots of HID bulb types osram, philips both new and old. The new bulbs are a tad brighter and whiter/yellow. The aged bulbs seemed bluer/white. I also noticed the osrams seemd to put out a little more blue compared to the philips bulbs.
