MY05 exhaust
When I got my buddy clubs put on this week, I had my first look under the car when it was hoisted up. I saw a small piece of exhaust piping jutting out from the main exhaust in the middle of the car. It points out towards the drivers side.
The piping is not as big around as the exhaust piping itself and it's closed on the end. It's about 6 or 7 inches long. So... what purpose does this serve? I've never seen anything like it under a car. I'm sorry I don't have pics to illustrate.

I had the invidia on my old prelude, so i know all about drone. basicallly, it's a sound that comes from the exhaust (mostly on the highway, moving at one constant speed). it's a single tone that never changes it just 'drones' on and on. you'd have to really hear it to understand. it's not shrill sound or anything, but there is a pitch level to it that you can almost feel moving through your body.
when i first got the indivia it use to actually make me feel almost sea sick on long highway drives until i got use to it.

It's a Hemholtz resonator. Even the super pricey Amuse dual exhausts use one.
.
can't argue with that!
