Default MY06 Diff Catch Can?

I was told this weekend that 06 and newer cars have a tube off the diff vent that runs to a small catch can. Anyone know more details about this?

It more there to keep water out, not the oil in. The Diff still has to be vented

You overfilling? Is the vent clear on the top of the housing?

yup I put in just a hair over. Same as I always did w/ the stock diff.

2nd time tho wasn't really overfilled and it still burbed. maybe it was fluid still in the baffles inside?

Nothing blocking the vent, all stock around there. I do have very hard urethane diff mounts now tho.

I'm betting the overfill, the kazz and the cornering forces your car sees are all contributing.

I'd run a hose from the vent (drill out or remove the vent cap) as high as you can and stick a breather filter in it.
