hopfully some 07 owners can help here...

check out the black circle around the first picture(not sure what year S that is)...



ok now here is my 07 with a similar pic...where the the circled piece?




should it just be open like this...should i worry..

The first pic looks like it is from a 2004-2005 AP2.

2006-up have revised components, such as the intake manifold etc. (I've had one of each)

Yeah, the 06+ have a few revised things, with the emissions and it also has a no-return fuel system.

no your not missing anything! I was just removing the CDV on Sat. and your fine as the first pic is that of a ver1 ap2 (i.e. 2004-2005)

Si es correcto, you are not missing anything. They just cleaned up the engine bay for us after 06

You'll notice many other things "missing" as well.

thank guys for the replies. I still think it's a bit strange that it's left wide open like that. you would think they would cover it up with something.

The first pic is an AP1 - black spark plug cover. AP2s are gold.

Since the DBW car's don't have an airpump they don't need the control valve for it.
