Default Mystery leak

There is a slight oil drip coming from the back of my motor, I have checked the oil pan bolts and all the misc. Places I could think off. Oil filter is snug and Oil drain nut is tight. I'm running out of ideas, if it is the start of a major problem I want to correct it early, any help would be great. Has anyone else experience a mystery oil leak and where did you find it?

Could be something as simple as a leaking valve cover gasket.

Have you topped-up the oil recently and spilled a bit?
It takes some time for the oil to run down the back, past the trans, etc.
It might be a simple as that.

How dark is that drop of oil?
As dark as the oil in the engine (it is coming out the engine), or lighter (its fresh oil with some dirt)?

Worst case: crank seal.

It's a lighter color, I've recently changed the oil. I just did a valve adjustment so I'll check the valve cover seal. I hope it's not the crank seal the bottom end only has about 5k on it since I replaced it.

I had a similar leak a while back and it turned out to only be the clutch slave cylinder which leaked down to the area which would make it apper to be the rear main seal leaking.
