I know this sounds weird, but I found the damnedest thing in the pocket area where the soft top meets the rear quarter panel.

After raising the top, there was a 6" or so rubber piece that looked a lot like a windshield wiper blade sticking up from the rear quarter panel. I grabbed it and that's what it really looked like - a 6-8" wiper-blade looking thing.

Out of curiosity, I checked the other side and found yet another. Both had what appeared to be an adhesive tape that seemed to have dried out. Anyone know what it's supposed to be? I checked Majestic's online parts catalog and could find nothing like it.

 

Pictures by any chance? Sounds like a seal of some sort, I'd go check mine but it's currently raining.

 

Yeah...they are supposed to be glued in the cavity where the top folds down. I guess they act as a kind of squeejee or brush to knock debris off the top when it is folding. I'll see if I can find a pic for you.
