Default Nasty Smell.

Well i just got out of the break in period so tonight i took a buddy of mine out for a spin i got onto a nice open street got a slow rolling start off the stop sign ( don't really want yet ). Well after doing a nice 2nd, 3rd and 4th 7.5 close to 8 rpm run i slow down and stop at the next stop sign but then my buddy and i smell something nasty this is my third car, i raced the hell out of my first car living in the middle of nowhere had its perks if i may say( 92 Civic hatch w/ some mods never any problems).

I am just asking if this may be a up ahead problem i may be facing or is my car is messed up?

The car is a 07 had 150 miles off the lot i only went over 5k rpm the night i bought my car could not resist the temptation.

I'm sorry if i am worrying and it may be no big deal but, i am a new father and i cant sleep thinking my little black baby is sick!

Probably all the coating and stuff still burning off the car?

A description of the smell (other than nasty) would be great.....

yeah it's probably your clutch. Why would you beat the crap out of your car if it only has 150 miles?

Where is the smell coming from, up front or back ?

I had a "burning rubber-type" smell coming from the rear for the first 3500-4000 miles on my car which eventually went away. I think it was a combination of the coating and new tires, not sure where yours is coming from.

with the little info supplied, i agree with it having something to do with the clutch/clutch delay valve.

The most awful smell happens when you run over a plastic bag and it sticks to the hot cat and stinks for a week. This has been reported many times but not recently.

hmm, I've never picked up the plastic bag...although, I have found a crushed beer can wedged by the stock radiator cooling plate...yesterday I found a styrofoam take-out container in the same place...

Am I not feeding my S right or something? Maybe it's just hungry and trying to tell me...lol

As for the smell...do the clutch delay valve mod...

He didn't say the car has 150 miles on it.

He bought it with 150miles. and is suppose to be finished with the break in period

Personally I wouldn't be doing any CDV mods until I found that that was the problem.
