Default Need advice on a mechanical over-rev

Long story short, customer of mine very likely has a bent valve. I was wondering if anyone knew the drill as far as availability of a new head, just a valve replacement, guide damage, core programs, prices, etc. So if you know someone who's been through it, or have anything for sale......Anything you can add to this thread would be most helpfull

I had a valve failure recently. An exhaust valve in number 1 cylinder broke off at the retainer, hit the piston, bent and got stuck in the cylinder head. This resulted in needing a new cylinder head and valve. All the other valves were ok.

I don't know how honda parts and labour costs in the US compare to the UK, but the work on my car cost

I can get you new OEM anything cheaper than your local dealer will sell it to you, you just have to know what specifically you need. Honda has no core exchange programs for OEM stuff, this isn't your local starter rebuilder

There is a complete cylinder head assembly available, as well as the individual components separately. I'd have to go through the catalog to see what the assembly vs. separate pieces comprises once you get that far. Same goes for valves etc. Hard to say what you need until you've done the tear-down.

Ludedude, I'd be more than happy to get a price from you for a complete cyl head with valves installed, minus cams and rockers of course...

Tuner..stay tuned...This thread will be most informative as time goes on

Here's a thought....We're looking to buy a complete new cyl head to save on downtime. After his repair, I will professionally repair his head with all new honda parts myself, and sell it, or do some type of exchange, for the next guy like Tuner....This will save each guy down the line the downtime of getting the car repaired. you can bet your ass Honda will have it for a month. I will have you in and out fast, as always..
