Have you looked in the secret compartment on top of the glovebox to see if it is there?

If not, the dealer will need the serial number of your headunit and your VIN. Normally they only do it if the car is there and they pull the headunit. They do charge to this too.

For $90, spend a little more and get a good head unit. The stock one sucks.

i'm gonna change my speakers first because they sound a little weak, then probably the head unit also.. the stock radio/speakers suck on highway driving

Don't bother trying someone else's code. it's not going to work. Every radio has a different access code.

They are charging you because the tech has to remove the radio to access the serial #. The serial # is used to obtain the Code from Honda.

The code is also found on card with all of the paperwork that comes with the new car. If you aren't the original owner, see if you can find out who was, or what dealer sold it originally. The original selling dealer may have the code on file.
Be prepared to show proof of ownership as well.

If the Radio code was easy to get, it wouldn't be much of a anti-theft device would it?

i just took out my headunit myself and called honda with the serial number and the vin number, and they gave it to me free over the phone. Then i wrote it on the sticker in my glove box (which is supposed to have the number on it, but it didnt) so i dont have to deal with that again. You could just try and call and get a freebie outta them!

+ 1

For $100 on Ebay you can have a nice deck. Hell, PM me if you want a new deck. I've got a great Pioneer deck that I'm about to put on EBAY. It has 3 sets of preouts, will play MP3's and is Satellite ready. It's also 50 watts per channel (22 RMS I think). $100 and you'll have better than stock.

Good luck.

Just pull it yourself and take it in to the honda dealer. In the past the dealer would look up the code if you just brought in the headunit.
