Just to nip this one in the bud - the S2000 does not have spark plug wires .

Okay, it's definitely the battery. It's becoming weak.

Funny story today. This afternoon, the weather was nice, so my friend and I went to the beach. We played the stereo in the car for a while, then the battery went dead. We had to ask strangers for a jump-start. How embarassing!

Then he asked me: "Why is there always something wrong with your car?"

Well, I guess it's time for a new battery. Should I go for another stock battery or one from this site (for $100)? I do have an amp and aftermarket speakers and deck.

Thanks! I don't think the Optima comes in our size. When I asked Car Toys, those weigh like 40-50 lbs. Too heavy! Looks like OEM is the one to go for.

I got a Duralast from Autozone last year, and it has been fine. $55 for the 7 year model.

Don't know how much the OEM goes for.

^ I think OEM is $80. Thanks for the Autozone tip, I'll check them out.

I'm about ready for a new battery too, it sometimes cranks a little slow and I figure I'll replace it before the summer heat kills it when it's not convenient. 4 years and >100k, it's about time.
