Need help to ID electrical control unit
Hi all,
Can anyone id this control unit of an 2000 AP1 ?
None of the wires lead to something that makes it obvious and I can't find it in wiring diagrams.

Yeah, looks like what you have is a Euro spec keyless entry unit. The Euro spec keyless entry unit is different than the US spec version; your version has a green 14 pin connector while the US version has a white or blue 18 pin connector. Which makes sense due to you being an Aussie.

Open the box up and take the PCB out. See if it looks exactly like the one in this link: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/754...try-connector/
I would have sworn what you have and what that guy is messing with is the same thing, and that guy says its the keyless entry module and he's located in the UAE.

Will do - that PCB looks (from the outside) suspiciously similar. The odd thing is I have found another controller labelled keyless entry module (much smaller black unit with a white label).
I found this link yesterday that gave me hope, but unfortunately no wire colors http://thes2kandtheant.wordpress.com...unique-mod-ii/
I should add that this loom is in a F20C seven style kitcar and has been out of the S2K for a number of years in a box. The 14 pin connector is in and around the steering column area.
