Need help installing rear shocks!
I just removed my diff to have gears installed so i'm no noob as far as wrenching goes. Thought it would be a good idea to replace the shocks while the car was apart. I'm trying to figure out if i'm missing parts or just doing something wrong. Do the koni sports come with a lower spring perch or am i supposed to get the perch off the old strut? Help!!! Hopefully the pic will show what my question is.
You get the top mount assembly from the your stock shocks. I would've just ordered spares so I could keep the stock shock assembly intact.
Top mount, rubber inserts, new bolts, bump stops. Don't forget new bump stops. Old ones would probably crumble when you start drilling/cutting it for aftermarket shocks/springs.
Have fun.

Ok, now i'm convinced something is missing. I have the top perch, however, there is nothing to support the bottom of the spring. I tried to put circles around what i'm talking about.
I think you use OEM one's too. You should be able to remove perches from your stock dampers. I've never worked on the S' suspension. I don't see those perches being sold separately either. Wait for more input. Maybe you use the stock perches or you are missing the perches -- it came on the Koni's for my other cars.
