NEED HELP My VTEC doesnot work !!!!!!
I am not a qualified mechanic, so don't read too much into what I'm about to say. It could be a vacuum hose or a TEMP sensor of sorts. The reason I say that is that I think we had a problem like that at my work. I don't remember the outcome, but I could've sworn it was one of the two.
good luck.
good luck.
Most likely something got wet.....(don't say duh....... I serious).
Let your car idle for 45 minutes to an hour or so with the hood closed. This will allow most of any moisture to evaporate. Disconnect your battery negative for 3 minutes, reconnect, and then start her up. I have done this on other cars. If a code resets then take it to the dealer and have the codes pulled off OBD-II. Most "wet" sets are do to a temporary sensor short do to moisture.

Hey.....I use to spray clean my engines.............I get 50/50 feed back from mechanics.
I now use a cloth and a cleaning solution. I do it by hand spraying in the engine can actually do more damage in the long run as far as rust. It is better to use a rag and a cleaning solution. .........Oh and if ya do wash your bay........Pressure washers are a big...big NO NO!

The engine is designed to get splashed with water, just not by water under pressure. I am so gun shy about it, I don't wash it at all, but I don't think it should hurt anything to dribble water on it with a hose.
ItalianBucwheat has got the idea: spray some cleaner on an "engine only" towel and clean this way. Doing this every paint-wash will keep the amount of buildup low, so keeping it cleaner is easier (duh!)
Hecash:
I have replaced the Vtec Selenoid complete, the one that is in the front left side of the engine, (because I have another S2000 that has another problem, but no luck with the Vtec. I disconnected the battery as Utah2k said with also no luck, I have cleaned the sensors and also no luck. So, I will replace the MAP Sensor with the one in the other s2000 see what happens.
But the other problem is that I do not have a list of the CODES.
Do you have it? can you email to me???? It will be of a good help.
I will continue trying and post you later what happens

mabey your engine isn't warm yet? are you trying to run the car into vtec on a cold engine? The vtec wont engauge when it's on open loop or something. Wait until you see 3 bars on your temperture gauge, then try running it.
