Need Help Please!!!! Misfire with VAFC installation
I installed the VAFC today and started up the car, the car began to shake a lot and threw out and check engine light. I hooked up my obd scanner and the code is for a misfire.
I have no corrections dialed in,
Sensor type is 06 in 06 out
Cyl is 4 and arrow is up and to the right
Sensor checks show up that everything is fine.
RPM and Throttle position is working fine.
Now I checked my connections and I see one problem so far. I have the IG power for the VAFC twisted together and connected to the harness. Am I suppose to have either the red or orange wire tapped closer to the ecu than the other? Then, since I don't have this done, would this cause the VAFC to make the Car misfire.
I have the vafc unplugged now and the car is plugged in back to regular so the car runs fine now.
Anyone know what I am doing wrong? Please help.

Honestly, I bought mine from a person on this board. Also, when you get it, the colored wires that they have for you to connect in the vafc on to is different for our car so to use it, you need to follow the wiring pin diagram picture Wh-4 which comes with the VAFC instructions.
I believe that it was made for another car but it works on the s because there is room for four connectors howwever, the S2000 ecu only uses for connectors so the four one on the harness is obsolete. But it still works. Just disregard all the colors on the harness and follow the pin wiring diagram included with the VAFC.

Thank you, it has, I redid the IG power wires for the VAFC and then I notice that there were two wires that were naked and right next to each other so I fixed that, also my Ecu back fuse blew but I didn't realize when i happened til that night. So I got that fixed and now everything is fine. I did however ran the VTM and Vtec solenoid controls line straight across and did not let the VAFC control that because I feel like the ecu can handle vtec engagement better than the VAFC. So now really all i'm using the VAFC for is fuel corrections and " bling bling"
. Thanks goes out to RT for really helping out with everything also.
