Default need HELP QUICK! IAC valve cleaning problem...

hey guys, so im just absolutely nervous about what just happened. I decided to clean my iac valve after i've had a few times where my idle has dropped and almost stalled, plus it looked like a relatively easy job. Everything went smooth, valve is now clean, but when i was putting the bolts back in, i was tightening them and didn't realize that the bolts didn't hit an "end" and stop turning, i just felt the bolt turning at the same tightness, until i felt it get loose again, and the head snapped off!

Anyways, part of the bolt is still sticking out of the intake manifold as seen in the picture...where do i go from here!

thanks in advance

looks like there is enough of the thrad remaining where you can get a pair of needle nose vise grip on there and remove it. then replace with a new bolt.

i tried that already and it wasn't probably the best idea...i don't have access to a welder, but im going to try some jb weld or another type of "weld-strong" glue type crap and put something onto it to help twist it off....does someone think this would be a viable idea or am i just making the situation worse? the stuff im looking at says it could provide strenghts of up to 3000 psi

^it might work but I doubt it, those things are rated for load supported in tension - torque is different. The best bet might be to vise grip it, and if that doesnt work, to weld a bolt onto it or to get it drilled out

one more trick you can try;
using a saw blade, cut a slit into it and use a blade screw driver to remove it.

thanks for the opinions guys, im so choked about this, brutal noob mistake and it just shows me that my luck with working on cars is just brutal.

ill probably give that jb weld stuff a try or some sort of "glue", if that doesn't work then ill definately try cutting the slit into the top, hopefully one of these will work!

anyone know if i can just replace that bolt with one from a hardware store or if i actually need a honda one?

get a center punch and punch it down on the leading edge where its broke (In your case hit the top of the bolt towards the left), keeping hitting it anti-clockwise. It'l come out. U just gotta counter the torque holding it in then it will be loose, n you will be able to then do the suggestions above.
You should find a suitable replacement at a hardware store ye. N just remember you should never ever use force on bolts around that size, Just nip them.

did you try to unbolt it while it was still hot to the touch? usually bolts gets soft because of the heat and breaks off..this typically happens on exhaust manifold bolts..specially on B-series
