Default Need help removing Steering Wheel Pics

Hey guys here what im up too. I have a Nice Ap1 Wheel that im changing cause my Ap2 one is beat up.

I got the airbag off fine but i dont what to do next.

here A pic of what i see. I dont want to try do without being sure what to take apart. I dont want to break anything.



Im also doing this the chrome on the H on the airbag came off so im painting the H i need to do more coats of red still

Pretty sure that middle bolt has to come out.

remove the middle bolt and clip then pull on the wheel like theres no tomorrow.

Yup, middle bolt.

When I did mine, I rented a steering wheel puller from Checker. Just put down a deposit, and you get it all back when you bring it back.

made it much easier.


Replace the engine with an AP1 while you are at it

what about the other cover and the metal peaces that are holding the wires My other wheel doesnt have that. Plus cant remove the horn(brown wire) it not a clip

when you yank on the wheel be cautious it doesnt pop you in the face!

loosen the bolt but don't remove it. bang on the wheel and it'll come off. if you have to resort to pulling it, leaving the bolt on will prevent it from hitting you in the face

Loosen almost the bolt all the way (but keep it slightly threaded) and just band the steering wheel at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions back & forth with your palms. It'll eventually loosen up.
