Default need help! swapped ap2 motor into ap1. won't crank

Recently swapped an ap2 motor into an ap1 shell. Having problems with it not cranking over. Anybody else do this swap and have any complications with their's? Any advice or help would be really appreciated.

It's the ap2 04. I think I figured out why it wouldn't start. I think the immobilizer is activated. The little green key blinks on the gauge cluster. Do anybody know how to get it to go away without bringing it to the dealership? I read somewhere where there is like a way you use your key to unlock and lock the car door couple of times and than the ecu recognizes the key.

I'm kinda confused about the whole thing because the fuel pump is kicking on and there is fuel getting pumped out through the line. The motor would run when i sprayed starter fluid into the throttle body and it'll run til it burns the fluid off so basically it was running on fumes of the starter fluid. I thought that if the immobilizer was activated that the fuel pump wouldn't kick on?

Not 100% sure, but I think that the immobilizer affects power to the starter. So the fact that you're able to run with starter fluid might suggest an issue with fuel. Don't quote me on this though.

Yea now some peoples are saying that the crank position sensor or either the cam shaft might be off or even timing has jumped.

Which ECU and key are you using? You can use your AP1 ecu on the AP2 engine. Thats what ive been running for about 2 years.

If you are trying to use the AP2 ecu without having the key matched up, I imagine that is your problem.
