you should know the pcv is intended for emissions purposes, not performance.
yup, it has to be there as required by law. it routes those contaminants back into the intake manifold and not into the atmosphere..

but if a manufacturer found a way to make their engine last longer on any parts of the car or any system on the car, dont you think they would do it, hell, should save on warranty costs right? happier customers? lol

Ok, i think i'm just repeating everything i've said now so i'll stop here. lol

On my final note,

No, it is not worth it in my opinion to use "check valves" on an n/a setup for an additional 0-1hp increase. From the explanations i've heard on an n/a setup, i dont see how putting the krank vents on both sides would make the engine last longer or run safer.

it lowers oil consumption A LOT, on n/a vehicles (as well).

i did not like the fact that the vacuum at idle was pulling on the spark plug tube seals so hard, making them cluck-cluck-cluck...

ps - you do know there is still vacuum even at cruising right? if you don't believe me put a boost/vacuum guage on your car and run @ a constant speed.
No doubt.
But in that situation the difference between (1) before and (2) after the throttle body would be minimal, so still very little (if any) flow through the crankcase.

In principle your point is ok IMO, why mess with an OEM system.
But the OEM MY00-03's can consume a lot of oil, and that's not right either.
The KV's reduced oil consuption (clean exhaust tips for miles and miles to "prove" it) on my car.
That's why most if not all N/A cars use them I guess.

Here are some camera phone pictures because I lost my regular camera but you get the idea. It's suppose to flow away from the valve cover. You will know if it's installed correctly when you start your car and try to pull the dipstick out. It'll make a woosh sound.

thanks for the pics asnboy...

not realy planning on buying the real KVs though, wondering if using the supra pcv valve technique would work on both of the lines...if not, i guess i have no choice but to buy the real ones...
