Default Need to take a UTH break

With hurricane sandy destroying my area, I have been running the chainsaw a lot doing volunteer work. My hands have developed some phenominon which I think might be Raynauds. It is a vibration induced problem. It can be a serious health risk to my hands and cause nerve damage if I continue.

So I need to go mia for a bit...2-3 weeks maybe until my hands return to normal. Meaning no repetition type of work with my hands, including typing. I can do some short answer type of stuff.

I will be right here watching, using the mouse to clean up. Talk to you all soon...

With the damage reported in your area Billman250 we were worried about you, very good to see you able to post up on here. Sorry to hear about your current condition but hopefully it is only short-lived. Wishing you and your neighbours all the best in these trying times. We are too far away to physically help, but if you have any local organizations that could benefit from donations I'd be willing to help out.

Godspeed Bud !.

i have experienced this before several times after using an angle grinder or any other vibrating type power tool. Your hands vibrate and feel pretty weird for a day. i have had no ill effects and continue to use power tools as needed.

Good luck, but i'll bet you're back on the horse before you know it.

Sent you a PM the other day, was kinda concerned that sandy might have got you since you didn't respond. Stay safe over there.
