New brakes
Cutting a rotor will take away metal.
Up to a point thats ok, the limit is cast on the rotor IIRC.
But why cut away metal if its not neccessary?
Take your time to break-in the new pads and you'll be fine.

Fronts are so tight i cannt put one of the shims in. i have the pucks retracked all the way but the only way to get that caliber on is to leave out the silver shim that rides against the puck, there is another black shim on each side of the pads. ???????
Thanks for the help guys

There are 3 OEM shims used on the front pads.
1 on the outer pad.
2 on the inner pad where the piston (or puck) is.
(one of them is the silver one)
IMO use at least 1 shim (I don't recall if you could just use the silver one.. use your own judgement
) on the inner pad to minimize heat transfer to the piston (and fluid) and to minimize "wear" due to piston to pad contact.
Use the proper "grease" between it too.
(Its not grease.. anti squeek paste or something)
It happened to me as well with Spoon pads and I figured to put the rest of the shims in as the pads became thinner... never did.
With less shims you may have a squeek here and there, especially if you just slighty brake.
