Default New Clutch = CEL ?

Well I just had a spec clutch and Fidanza 8lb flywheel installed. Also I had them put royal purple in the tranny and the diff. Well now that everything is installed we are getting a CEL. It doesn't do it at idle, only when its being driven. Do any of you guys have any idea what could cause this? Could it be the fluid? Or maybe something overlooked with the install, maybe something didn't get plugged in? Thanks for any help.

royal purple in the tranny and diff?

first, get that royal purple crap out. i didn't even realize RP made tranny/diff fluid for our cars, but if it's anything like their oil, you need to stop wasting money on it. for the price you can have much better oils than royal purple.

as for the CEL you need to get the code pulled. no one here can just guess at what it is in a situation like this. please get the code pulled at an auto zone or something, and then post it here.

Or you may have neglected to plug a connector in. A lot of stuff got disconnected when a clutch job is done. You most likely forgot one.
Get the code and you'll know which one it is.

once you post the code, you will have your answer. most likely the vac hoses are switched. the ones to the solenoid on the backside of the airbox.. hint hint, secondary air injection codes.

The O2 sensor with the blue cable cover goes in the cat. The one with the white cover goes in the header. Check it

the most common code after trans removal is an air injection code, caused by the vacuum line popping off when the engine shifts. check the vacuum lines on the left side under the fuel rail.
