Default new soft top/ plastic rear window

im completely sick of the rear window and old faded soft top of my 00 s... love the car, but between that and the annnnooying clutch buzz, its starting to be a nuissance. Can anyone give me advice regarding the top and rear window? should i stick with plastic and replace it? or should i go for the glass conversion? If so how much would each cost and where can i get it done? ...id love glass, but the 1200 dollars and 10 hours of labor doesnt look to appealing... you 02+ are soooo lucky... damn honda...

TIM

p.s. sorry about the complaints... i do love the car, but im here to vent...

The soft top for the plastic is about 1000 dollars and for glass is about 1100 but I heard you can buy it from hardtop guy for about 8-- maybe. Maybe you should talk to someone if they have a wholesale account that would be your best bet. I had mine installed for about 350. Did a pretty good job and was referred by the Honda dealership that I go to.

You may want to try here...

Majestic Honda

Looks like $738.32 for the plastic window version (may need to add $175 for the window, hard to tell from diagram) and $916.40 for the glass window version. Don't know shipping would be, should call to clerify on the plastic window version.

Have you ever done any regular maintenance on the top and plastic window? Mine is 4 years old and it's like new.

thanks for the info, def cheaper then honda of santa ana and weseloh quoted me. 900 for the glass def seems worth it, 2500 at honda for labor and materials? id rather go hardtop for that price. and concerning the maintanance? yeah i used meguiars about once a month, but it seemed like i should have done it every other day. I used to park it outdoors as well, so that didnt help with the morning dew and all.
I guess my main concern would be if i put on the 2002+ glass and top on my 00 frame, would i have to do a lot of modifications? also, what percentage of the time during the labor would i be telling myself, "christ im screwed"...
