Default Nitrous Wet or Dry

I cannot afford a supercharger or turbo, so this spring I'm looking to get a NX Nitrous kit. The sell for around 550 installed down this way. Anyways, with stock internals and only exhaust, what would be a safe 'shot' to use? I noticed dut has direct port 80 shot, im unsure of his internals though. I will not be gettin direct port, just regular. Any help by anybody that has nitrous on their s, or not, will be highly appreciated!

- I have stock internals...
- wet is always better then dry, even in 'real life' situations

But you could safely run up to a 100hp dry shot. Just don't spray for 2min straight.

Not true, but the situation in which dry would be better obviously does not fit in his budget. The "dry-is-better" setup would be when used in conjunction with the AEM EMS.

If folks are 'charging on stock internals to the tune of +100 more horsepower, then the internals should be able to handle the extra hp via the funny stuff. I would like to offer that $550 will not get you a safe nitrous setup. Done right(to be read as SAFELY), nitrous will run you to the tune of $2k-$3k

When you introduce such a large and instantaneous increase in cylinder pressures, rings and bearings tend to go to shit.

And it does not cost anywhere near $2-3k for a proper wet nitrous install. A complete fogger kit (with both solenoids, bottle, all lines, Shark nozzles, throttle body adapter, and all associated hardware) will run you around $700.

If you want a 700shot multi-stage direct port wet setup (for a V8) with hidden under-intake nozzles, junction blocks, 8 solenoids (4 nitrous, 4 fuel), and all the other goodies, then and only then will it cost you $2-3k.

Which is why I am going with Dut's setup and will upgrade my internals following that.
