No Communication to ABS Module
ABS light on with no communication to ABS Module.
I have a 2000 S2000 with 16000 miles and the ABS light is on.
I took it to my shop, and this is what they found.
There is no communication with the ABS Module. All 5-power supply fused circuits are providing power to every destination required (most supplied to the ABS module) according to the wiring diagram. The ABS light illuminates because it has power and ground but there could be an internal issue with the cluster/module causing loss of communications with ABS module (such as a short). The cluster Module is sealed and would need to be removed from the car and tested. The ABS module has all power and grounds to work otherwise. We removed the ground and supplied another ground with no change. The car will not allow the light to be reset or flashed to manually retrieve codes. The ABS circuit and SRS circuit eventually run into each other. We can communicate with the SRS module (communicate with all modules but not the ABS module).
A used (assume working) ABS module was installed but the ABS communication problem still exists.
Any thoughts on the issue and possible solutions?

How do we know issue isn't their testing equipment? Maybe IT can't communicate with the abs module, because its not appropriate tool software version or correct tool for reading Honda abs?
Maybe issue illuminating abs light is something simple like bad abs sensor (or even just dirty), but you're going down a Rabbit Hole with the abs module communication 'issue'.
See if a different shop can read abs code. If it is a tool issue, second shop might have better luck reading it.
If they say same issue, abs module communication, at least you can confirm issue.

A second tester can't communicate, or a second abs module?
I understood same tester couldn't talk to two different abs modules. Original and replacement. Yet tester could talk to SRS, which implies tester was at least connected properly. Did I understand incorrectly?
