i may be wrong but if you have the car in gear i dont think youd be able to spin the tires just because of the fact that everything is locked together. which i would think that you LSD would be working. correct me if im wrong.

well, its a click with a slight bind, and like i stated above, the lsd reacts normally while driving, locking up and un locking as you can feel it while turning and then while turning under power

Inner CV joint on driver side is worn and nearing failure. Do you get a vibration under acceleration?

If you jack up the back of the car, and have the car in gear, and you try to rotate a rear wheel, the other wheel will go the opposite direction.

Questions for us2bwrx:
Have you checked your diff oil level?
What type of oil is in there?
How long has it been in there?

Car jacked up, in gear, spinning the wheels by hand => spins one of the T2 side gears.
The planet gears spin and they make the other side gear spin in opposite direction.
Those planet gears with their "EQUVEX" gears also push the two side gears towards eachother or apart => lock.
So you are able to apply enough torque by hand to lock your diff?
IMO its the oil.

Btw.. the sets of planet gears only spin when the two side gears dont spin at the same speed. In other words, when the two side gears both make 1 revolution the sets of planet gears do not spin.
One may argue about the possibility that the two side gears make excactly the same revolutions driving straight, on a flat road, same psi in tires, with equal grip, etc, etc.

diff fluid is ok.......... i changed it when i first got into the prob.... but i might change it tommorow just for shits and giggles, and its mobile one 75w 90, i kinda understand what your saying but i think your understanding me wrong spitfire, basically my lsd reacts normally while driving, as u can feel it lock and unlock in turns under power ect ect. via the slight under steer, now what im wondering...................... the lsd test..........jack up the rear and undo the parking brake........then place the ca rin gear and by hand you spin one wheel....... the opposing wheel should spin in the opposite direction.......... my wheels begin to but then bind up.........also when making sharp u turns in neutral it clicks........and its not the axle nuts.

It reminds me of a 4x4 without a central diff in 4x4 mode on a hard surface.
The difference in speed between the wheels "wind up" the transmission parts until something gives.
(thats why its a to drive in 4x4 mode without a central diff on a hard surface)

Clicking noises on tight turns are not good IMO.
It could be the tension between the axles "relieving themselfs" after to much diff lock.
Try your tight turns on a dirt road or gravel road or any surface that will let the wheels spin in different speeds while the diff is locked to see if it still does click.
Thats all I am able to think of the way you describe your problem.
Sorry.
