So my loss in power may actually be the test pipe? i find that odd because more air flow should = more power right?

only thing i can think of is, loss of back pressure? but from my quite slim knowledge on this topic, thats only important in turbo cars right?

Hard to hear but sounds more like a lose baffle or nut. Is the this tp resonated?

Your car will be running more lean now that you have a freer flowing system, your tp will give you gains everywhere. Unless you are beyond the safe leaning point and starving for fuel now, which I totally doubt, you should be experiencing more power from your exhuast, this isnt the problem if you are experiencing a power loss.

yea i dont think your "loss in power" is in anyway related to the test pipe, unless you maybe taped it on, but i'd be doubtful in that situation as well.

Dyno it?

lol like i said, i didnt put it on, so it very easily could be taped on for all i know, except that its been raining and my exhaust hasnt dumped onto the ground yet

I DID have hardware that was shipped to me with the TP and they didnt use ANY of it.. im thinking they may have used slightly wrong gaskets or something similar? I do want to re-install it to make sure everything is tip top, and a good dyno tune would probably be good, only problem is i dont have any sort of ECU management/piggy back so that will have to wait..

new map sensor comes in tomorrow, we'll see if thats the power loss problem, if so, all ive got left is that damn whistling noise

ya sounds like its normal, it has its moments, like when i shift from 1st to 2nd it almost sounds like a blow off valve and i think im cool, until the thought of a BOV simulator comes to mind.. and then it makes me wanna sell the car right then and there.. (not really) lol

i loved my berk tp, i also had that sound, but i actually enjoyed it. being dbw i threw a cel so i have recently upgraded to a berk hfc, which unfortunetly did not get rid of the cel, however it got rid of the wretched smell, and the whistling sound is gone.
