Default OBD question

I'm planning on getting an OBD reader to have in the car (hidden inside the elbow compartment), just to monitor a few things, see how a few values change with the changes I do (ie. how much difference in operating temperature on similiar nights with fluid A, compared to B, etc)

I'm especially looking to be able to monitor:
-Fuel pressure
-Oil pressure
-Oil temp
-Diff temp
-Transmission temp

Is our OBD system, without any modifications, able to monitor these values?

I haven't been able to find a proper list of OBD sensors for the S, or any other Honda.

With a normal aftermarket OBDII scan tool you will be able to monitor none of the above. If you are buying a scan tool for an MY 06 S2000, you want to make sure it supports Extended CAN or it won't talk to your car. Maybe fuel pressure is now available through OBD for a MY 06, (as it is supported by many OBDII tools) but I doubt it.

I haven't been able to find a proper list of OBD sensors for the S, or any other Honda.
There is a list of supported OBDII parameters for an aftermarket scan tool in the Helms manual. My Helms only covers to MY 03. You need a copy of the Helms that covers through MY06, or someone who has one.

None of those are supported datastream inputs.

All you have to do is look in a shop manual. See what sensors are attached to the electrical system.

Yup. There are a number of inputs available if you tap the wires that are not available to code scanners.

Well, that concludes it then, I won't be getting it.

I actually have ordered the Helms manual, I'm just waiting for it to arrive (~20 days remaining).

Thanks for the help.

I agree, anyone with a car should own one. Especially if you like to have an idea about whats going on with your car and not just blindly trust a mechanic.

It just struck me.
Did I get a negative answer to my original question because I typed "OBD" instead of "OBD-II"?
I meant OBD-II, I just used "OBD" in the general meaning, referring to any type of OBD reader be it I or II.

Sorry for the confusion.
Rephrased question:
Will an OBD-II reader (that supports Extended CAN) be able to read any of the parameters listed in the original post?

None of the parameters in the original post have supported sensor inputs. It won't matter what scanner you use. With no sensor input = no data list output.

Fuel pressure
-Oil pressure
-Oil temp
-Diff temp
-Transmission temp

There are no temp or pressure sensors for any of these. VTEC oil pressure is only an on/off switch not a pressure reading.
