Default OBD scanner help (Hondash)

Hello!
I've recently bought the hondash OBD scanner for my AP1 (year 2000), seeing that it was listed in the compatible table (https://www.hondash.net/2014/12/obd-...ity-table.html) and after seeing a couple reviews of people saying that they had installed it in their S2000, but I'm starting to think that I've not read that table right and it only works for a handful of S2000.

The main problem I am facing is that I cannot find in the car (or online) any indication of a 3/5 pin OBD port on the S2000 but just the standard 16pin OBD2 port located in the passenger side (on AP1).

Am I going to be able to install this OBD scanner or will I have to look for other OBD scanners that work with the S2000? (I was planning to use this Hondash for realtime monitoring and from my, short, research online it seemed that it's one of the best for this purpose)

(This might be a "not so smart" question, but, as you can probably tell, I'm pretty new to this)

Thank you, have a great day!

A cheap ELM327 will do what you want for $14. Works fine with torque pro or any other software.

That's a second option that I'm considering if I can't make Hondash work, but it's a downgrade from my perspective. Torque pro has quite a bit of delay and seems less polished/less functionalities.

Do you know anything about a 5/3pin OBD in the S2000?

That product is for older cars. It's for OBD1 and the older obd2 stuff before 2001. There is no 3 pin dlc on the S because it has the 16 pin standard for newer cars.

The iso 9141 protocol on the S is gonna limit speed more than torque pro or the cheap Bluetooth. I have one in my wife's car tied to an android radio and the rpms are pretty responsive

I guess there must be an error in the compatibility table then.

Thank you!

@gim Are you really in Italy? What are you trying do do with the "Hondash?" Any OBD2 reader will work unless Italy got something different than the rest of the world.

I am in Italy, yes.
I know that it's not the only OBD reader, but I wanted a good one to use for realtime monitoring and the other scanners seem worse overall. I've confirmed with the seller that it doesn't work on the S2000, so I'm now looking for alternatives. (probably the one suggested on a reply above)
