Default OBD2 extension cable

Has anyone found an OBD2 extension cable that works with my USDM MY06? I mean that will actually plug into the car and stay there? I've tried two different cables and I can't get either to plug in securely under the dash.

Or an I doing something wrong? Trying to plug my Hondata Flashpro or a port reader requires gymnastics my olde body ain't built for anymore. Both plug in perfectly as does the smog station connector. I'm thinking a 12" extension will just stow under the dashboard and be accessible when needed.

Strange. I bought a cheapo ribbon style OBDII Y-cable to run two monitoring devices off of it. It stayed in there just fine. If I remember correctly, there's a locking type feature on the connector to keep it snug to prevent it from falling out.

Thanks, I'll keep trying.

Seemed strange that some work (FlashPro, etc) and some don't. Car is in a position for the winter that it's nearly impossible to try again for a while.

Can you provide more details on the two monitoring devices you are running? I tried running two using a Y-cable as well, but only would function at a time.

I was running a bluetooth OBDII dongle and ScanGaugeE (to monitor IAT and coolant temp).
