OBD2 port is missing wires!
Hello fellow S2000 enthusiasts!
I recently got me an S2000 AP1 year 2000(EUROPE). My car has a CEL, suspecting it could be the knock-sensor because i just changed it(3 weeks ago). I dont want to take any chances, so i decided to read the codes without any tools. Used the modifry page to both find the OBD2 connector, and tried shorting the SNS wire to GND.
Turns out there is no wire for SNS? Took a picture and decided to get help before i break something.

This is from passenger fotwell. Did a search in driver fotwell, but i didnt find any empty plugs.
Help would be MUCH appreciated!

The plastic plug itself might be the same, but the wiring to the ECU could be different, and the Euro ECU may not be set up for the OBD protocol at all. OBD 1 was an older version that some US manufacturers used in the '80s and '90s. OBD 2 was required for all cars sold in the US beginning in 1996.
Perhaps you can get some beter feedback in one of these forums..

The technical implementation of EOBD is essentially the same as OBD-II, with the same SAE J1962 diagnostic link connector and signal protocols being used.

Euro MY'00 AP1: as far as I remember shorting SNS to GND blows a fuse.
IOW: it did not work for me.
So I bought an OBDII reader, works perfect.
The hand-held OBDII readers are less than 100 Euro for sure.
