OEM brake pad shims
I'll be installing a set of OEM pads soon. The car currently has Ferodos on it with no OEM shims whatsoever, and I've no idea which shim goes on which pad.
There are 3 slightly different kinds of shims included per wheel. Anyone know which shim goes where? Also, do I apply the anti-squeal paste on the pad or shim or both?

Two of the shims go on the inner pad and a single shim goes on the outer pad. There are two shims that look essentially the same, these shims go directly on the inner and outer pad. The stainless steel pad goes on the outside of the shim that's on the inner pad.
I use high temp anti-seize compound as anti-squeal and place it on the back of the pad, and on the back of all the shims.
Even with Porterfield R4S pads I get no squeaking. OK maybe a little squeak occasionally when coming to a stop from very low speeds.
