Default OEM Seats left & right

Hello fellow S2ker's..i'm thinking about changing my seats. that is put the drivers in the passenger side and vice versa. the reason is that my driver seat shows signs of wear and my passenger seat has absolutely no signs of wear. i want to make it even... so my question is are the seats interchangeable? and if not do i have to take brackets off to make them fit. i know that the slider handle will be in the opposite side. thanks for any help.

There's a sensor on the driver's side that is not on the passenger, not sure if it's possible or how difficult it is to switch the sensor.

the seatbelt sensor can be switched from seat to seat w/out any problems.

just a thought. what do you do with the seat-belt thingie. it's on the left of the driver's side and right of passenger drive. unless you don't plan on running your seatbelts through those loops

Ok Here's your answer.

The bottom part of the seat is interchangable. You could remove the seats take the bottom off and switch them.

The problem is that within each seat is a metal bolster that holds up the side of the seat where you get in and out. Switching the entire bottom would put these bolsters to the middle not on the door side.

If you want to keep the seat bolsters on the correct side, then you need to remove the skins from the bottom and switch them. They're held on with hog rings and easy to work with. When you get the sides off be careful as there is a metal bolster under each seam in your seat insert. you have to remove the hog rings there as well.

Then just reassemble.

The top part of the seat is not interchangable because of the seatbelt hardware and the way it attaches to the frame.

Good Luck

Oh yeah, my fingers wanted me to remind you of one more thing.

Honda didn't finish the metal edges on the seat pan, be careful it will cut the crap out of you. I took my dremel and deburred mine while they were off.
